Who I am
My name is Paz Morales, but I write under the name Bee. I am a twenty-three-year-old from Santiago, Chile, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in communication and Italian studies diaspora. With a primary focus on digital media, I have interned at media companies such as Poderistas and Bronxnet, gaining practical industry experience.
But having recently graduated with no real hands-on journalism experience, I wonder how I can experiment with my idea. So here it is! Both of my favorite readings in one place.
I have written posts for Medium and contributed to my alma mater’s newsletter. In creative pieces, I have been published twice in the Underground Magazine and once in Hey! Young Writer.
A New Idea
I decided to start my blog to showcase my journalistic writing. I have been interested in journalism my entire life and want to write original pieces for the world from an angle never heard before, in a format rarely used: narrative journalism and detailed storytelling.
My interest has always leaned towards those beats, and what better answer than not to choose one but to create something new based on both. It is the year 2026, and Journalism has come a long way since its inception.
We should open doors to new formats, ideas, and writings in a medium often miscategorized as traditional, and what better than a blog to do this?
Writing and information are powerful tools in the right hands; in the wrong hands, they are dangerous.
